Paid Internship: Full time, 40 hours/week (9/80 work schedule) JOB DESCRIPTION: The engineering team at L-3 EOTech is involved in the entire design process, from bid & proposal through design and manufacturing and into volume production. The electrical engineering intern will support a wide variety of projects that provide both a challenging and hands-on experience. Some of the projects may include, but are not limited to the design, prototyping, evaluation and testing phase of new product development or enhancement projects, including test fixtures. This position is for summer 2015. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Electrical Engineers to perform prescribed engineering tasks in the product design department. The ability to perform basic circuit analysis of schematics/specifications, troubleshooting, and prototyping is preferred. Desired Skills/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in progress, preferably with sophomore year completed. • Pursuing BS in Electrical Engineering with 3.0 GPA or higher preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Basic soldering skills • Familiarity with electrical test equipment, including power supplies, DMMs, and o oscilloscopes • Strong quantitative and analytical skills. • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills. • Proactive work ethic and energy. • Effective team member and contributor. • Familiarity with analog and digital electronics. • Familiarity with microcontroller development a plus. • US citizenship or permanent residence is required.
